I have dedicated the past 13 years to healthcare, with the last 8 years as a practicing nurse. My primary focus has been in psychiatry, where I’ve gained extensive experience working in various
settings, including a psychiatric medical-surgical unit, the emergency room, inpatient psychiatric care, and psychiatric emergency services.
As a lifelong learner, I believe that the more knowledge I acquire, the more I realize there is always room for growth. My experience in mental health has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach; each individual has unique needs that must be addressed. I am particularly interested in integrative mental health, which combines conventional treatments—such as therapy and medication—with complementary therapies like mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise. This holistic approach addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—recognizing the interconnectedness of physical health, emotional well-being, and lifestyle factors to create personalized and comprehensive treatment plans.
I am committed to a holistic practice that places the patient—not just their diagnosis—at the center of their treatment plan. I firmly believe that everyone can benefit from support, and I
strive to meet my patients’ diverse needs with compassion and understanding.
On a personal level, I am continually exploring my own mental health journey and discovering new ways to enhance well-being. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, Dan, and our two fur babies, Roxie and Kita. We are an adventurous family who loves to travel, try new experiences, and engage with the arts. Additionally, we are passionate native plant gardeners and active members of our community on the west side of Cincinnati, which I have always called home.
I firmly believe in the mantra, “You can do hard things,” which resonates deeply with me. One of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou encapsulates this spirit: “You may encounter many defeats, but you must never be defeated.”
