Margaret is a dual Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in psychiatry and primary care. She can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults. Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) ADHD, Bi-Polar, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Depression, Panic Attacks, Mood Disorders, Insomnia, Personality Disorders, PTSD and Schizophrenia.
Margaret received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University where she graduated magna cum laude. She later graduated summa cum laude from South University where she received her Master of Science in Nursing. After working with the underserved population in addiction medicine, Margaret decided to specialize in psychiatry and received her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Margaret is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification board. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAPN) and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA). Margaret has received specialized training and holds a special DEA X-waiver 275 to prescribe medication-assisted treatment (MAT) which allows her to treat patients who are suffering from addiction.
Margaret enjoys spending time with her children and grand-children. She also enjoys travelling with her husband.
