My name is Christina Alcorn, and I have been a nurse for over 10 years and a PMHNP for 2 years. I am a native of Brookville, Ohio, but now reside in West Chester. I received my BSN from the University of Cincinnati and my PMHNP from Northern Kentucky University. I am committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive psychiatric care to patients ages 5 and up. Many mental health workers are drawn to this field due to past experience with mental illness or addiction, whether it be in their family or personally. I am no exception, and I believe this experience allows me to better connect with my patients and listen to their needs. I often hear clients tell me that they have felt dismissed many times before, and this makes them hesitant to seek help. I am here to listen and collaborate with my patients to ensure we develop a treatment plan that makes them comfortable and achieves their identified goals. I am a strong LGBTQIA+ ally and am committed to making my office a safe space for everyone. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, reading, playing pool, and trying new food. As Ernest Hemingway said, “We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in”.
